We don't know exactly how it will play out. But first we have to find out why we were kicked out. Then we have to fix it. Then we get re-submitted to PGN. But we have to go all the way back to the beginning of the line. We start back with the 1st of 3 reviewers who sign off on our case. If it goes how it typically does, it will take about 8 weeks to get back out, if not longer. On the other hand, nothing is written in stone down there, so it could be less. But there's no way to know that. Oh-- and the bonus is that it could get kicked out again and we'd be right back where we started.
After it is released from PGN, an adoption decree is issued. This is taken back to Escuintla, where Gabriella was born, to have them issue a new birth certificate with our names as her parents. This is taken to the U.S. Embassy with our other paperwork and we are submitted for our embassy appointment. At the same time, we receive authorization from the embassy for the second DNA test that is required. The DNA test is then completed, the results are FedExed to the embassy and our appointment is issued on a pink piece of paper. This is known as "getting pink." The approximate time from getting out of PGN to the pick up trip is 4-7 weeks. We then return to Guatemala to pick Gabi up and attend this appointment. We go to the embassy, answer questions, present requested documents and leave the embassy. We return the following day to pick up her passport with the visa stamped in it and we are allowed to go home with our daughter at any point after this. The pickup trip is about 4 days long.

What a test of faith!
We're so sorry, Honey, if bribery or anything else would help, we'd certainly chip in.
It sounds like it might be a good time to talk to Sally's friend.
Keep praying and hang in there. I still think it will turn in your favor soon.
I watched the CNN report and could not sleep afterwards.
Love you too much,
GG and Grumps
