DNA went off without a hitch this morning. Well, that's if you don't count Gabi screaming through it. She was not thrilled with them swabbing her mouth thoroughly 4 times. I can't believe Ella stood for that. Anyway, we got it finished and it's on its way to the lab.
Not only is that finished, but we were able to go directly upstairs to one of the Embassy-approved doctors for her visa checkup. He was lovely, as were his nurses. We were in and out. Every time that Gabi cried, she reached for me. The doctor even said that she wants her mama for security. Is there anything better than that? I don't think so.
Gabi was an absolute doll despite the fact that she missed her morning nap and really needed it. The nurse said she was such a cute baby. And the doctor said that she was in the 50th percentile for head circumference and the 3rd for weight. She's between the 5th and 10th for height. She's 27.5 inches long and 17 lbs. 4 oz. He said not to worry about her weight since she's such a great eater. He could see how active she was.
Now, the greatest part of all of this is that those were the last steps we had to complete before we go to the Embassy for our visa appointment. I can enjoy the next couple of weeks in Antigua with no worries!!! That's huge!! And by the way, we closed on our house this morning in Houston. Edward is on his way back to Illinois now. We are homeowners again. Woohoo! Let the blessings flow!!

Robin & Ella
Halleluyah! It appears that things are going your way, finally. We couldn't be happier for all of us.
Now, if we can just wait a little while longer to get her on American soil, all will be well with the world.
So, what you're saying or the dr. is saying is that 90 to 95% of 12-mo. old girls are taller than our Gabi Sol, but only half have a bigger head. Sounds perfect to me.
Love and kisses to both of you and to Kristi and Lucy.
GG
WOOOHOOOO!!!!
This is great!!! You are so fortunate to be able to experiance all of these final steps with her also:)
Relax and ENJOY the rest of your stay in Guat! I miss that place sooo bad.....weird huh???

Mandy & Ed-
Congratulations!! We are very happy for you both. Knowing it's almost done has to be such an elated feeling. We are praying for you!! There is nothing better (and a little stressful) than getting a new baby and new home within weeks of one another. Patience still can't find anything. Take care of little Gabi and get home quick and safe.
BTW - We FINALLY got a few pictures from our first trip up on the blog.
RJ & Patience
